Hello everyone,

can someone help me with my monitor, its a Ceronix 1993 vga crt And it appears the degauss isn't working, is there a way to test the relay on the monitor chasis?

The degauss circuit operates for only a few seconds when power applied to the chassis and will only clear up a minor magnetization. You may need an real degaussing coil to fix your problem.

That said, you can test a relay by applying voltage to the coil (preferably through a current limiting resistor) and then measuring the resistance across the relay contacts to find out if they are making contact with each other.
