Anyone have any suggestions on where we might be able to find a very close match for the original Crossbow vinyl? I am planning to do a restoration.

Any help would be appreciated.

No but if you find it let me know. It's possible happ may have it but when I emailed them for samples of the different types of vinyl (this was a few months back) I was told they were out of almost half of the styles they have listed for sale and they do not send samples. But of the sources that carry vinyl happ seemed to be the source that was most likely to have the correct match at a good price. I think arcade shop may have it but I believe in general their prices were about twice as much as every where else.

LG's Hi-Cal brand black looks to be a good match in sheen. Joe here in Phoenix was showing me some he bought from a supplier and that was the brand of sign vinyl they were selling. For an outdoor sign the stuff is horrible, if you look at it too long the glue falls off the back of the vinyl , but for indoors it should be fine. That is what I'm going to buy to redo mine when I get around to it. If you don't want to buy a whole roll call around to some of the sign companies inyour area and see if thet have any 48" rolls of it they will sell you a secition from. Arlon may also be good but I've never compaired it to my machine.

I wonder if it's the same as cheyenne. I have one here, and a dragon's lair, and the vinyl is a dead on match, morrocco style vinyl.

not sure if it's the same as Cheyenne but the other exidy game I have seem to have the same style vinyl as my cheyenne does. although comparing it to the vinyl shown in the link below, what is on my machine is not morrocco style. Or at least not what Happ calls morrocco style.

my guess would be that the closest match to what I have on my cheyenne would either be D or E on their list.

The morrocco is very close. It looks like scales up close, and the scale size is off slightly from original.

I know for sure that Dragon's lair vinyl is not the same as Crossbow vinyl. The Crossbow is much smoother with some vertical texture in it.

I spent a few years searching for the exact vinyl for Dragons Lair. I received samples from 14 different companies. The only place that had it was No Skidding Products.

Quarterarcade gets their supply from this company. I bought some in bulk from No Skidding Products, but if you want a smaller amount, QuarterArcade is your best bet for Dragons Lair vinyl.

This stuff is a dead on match.

Now, I just need to find the exact match for Crossbow vinyl.
