Hi Guys

Im working on a standard Crisis Zone that I got from an auction. Basically, this thing is all beat to hell. I am wanting to clean it up a bit before I sell it (anyone interested?) One of the things I want to address is to fix the gun recoil mechanism.

Among other things (weak monitor), the gun recoil-motor wasnt working at all and in fact was flopping around inside the gun itself. So, a long story shortened, one of the electrical leads had broken off @ the motor so I re-soldered the electrical connection. Now, when I power-on the cabinet, the gun motor runs continously!

All the self-tests pass, and Ive verified that the trigger switch is working properly. Ive managed to narrow down my investigation to dip sw3, but this is an 8 position switch, and is currently all set to off (or maybe on, cant remember).

other than the weak monitor and the recoil motor running continously, the game works fine. The game played fine with the gun recoil de-activated (due to broken electrical contact), what am I missing?

Anybody heard of such a problem? The manuals I got from the internet dont help.

thanks from a noob

if you want to sell the pcb boards only, then i am interested to buy.

and for the gun motor always run, it might be problem with transistors in the board inside the gun.

Crisis Zone Standard Gun Tracking Issue

I bought a Crisis Zone Standard 27" machine for $30 because it was dropped and the cabinet was damaged and the gun body was smashed. I replaced the gun and everything appears to be working correctly. The only problem I have is I can't et the gun to track correctly. It shows the crosshairs on the screen and even after adjusting the parameters, it tracks very jumpy. Does anyone know what might be causing this problem? I'm guessing the gun board in the gun, the ccd camera, or maybe the gun board in the cabinet. Thanks for any ideas.
