NEW Crazy things you'll do to get a game home.

I had a friend store a wrapped game in his carport in Louisiana of all places for a few years.

Pinball in the back of a Honda CRV and one strapped to the roof rack... I would upload a picture but it isn't working right now and I'm not fancy enough for Photobucket...

Of course a full sized arcade game will fit into a Yaris

It is well known now that Yars' Revenge was named by Warshaw, that the name is an inverse of then-Atari chief Ray Kassar (Ray = Yar).

:D

Wish I had pictures of this one. I did have a 5x8 trailer, but we put 4 uprights (all Atari) and 2 cocktails in the trailer as well as another cocktail and 3 monitors in the truck.

Hauled all of this with my V6 Hyundai Sante Fe. Rode nearly 2 hours at 5000RPM and you could see the gas needle dropping. I was amazed we even made it back.

Loaded a Q*bert into a Prius.

Van broke down on the highway after picking up a Mario Bros. Had the tow truck driver drop off my arcade game at the house (he helped unload) and then he took the van to the mechanics shop afterwards.

Is that a Pontiac Montana van? I had one of those and it was really good for hauling games.

Years ago I was at an auction. I had cashed out and was taking my game to load in the parking lot. There was an SUV out there that had a game ON TOP of the vehicle. Damnest thing I'd ever seen. Wish I had gotten a picture of it, but cameras on cell phones weren't as common back then. I'll never forget that. You truly had to see it to believe it.

It is a Pontiac Montana and it was a great game hauler. I no longer have it though. It was covered for many hauling trips in rain or snow. Plus, depending on cab size you could squeeze 2 games in there side by side. It was also good for hauling enormous games covered. I believe I squeezed that Radikal Bikers in there sideways eventually.

Started out on a 3 hour tour to get my first ever arcade. I got half way there and got a flat tire... Struggled to drop the spare down for about a hour. Finally got the rusty,, crappy thing down,, busted the mech, that holds the tire up there.. Changed the tire... spare tire ,was low, of coarse!! Made it to nearest gas station, though.. Filled up tire... Instead of going back home. Went the rest of the way ,and picked up my Mario Bros. (conv. cab.) $200 bucks.. Did all this in the pouring rain!!! Thats comitment!!! BUT STILL WORTH IT !! Now i'am on my 6th arcade... Who knew, i would get this much into this hobby.???

you guys drive some pretty womanly vehicles.

On that note, here's me and the gf hauling home a $125 Craigslist score with my 2002 Miata, 250 miles each way.....Damn game survived New york and Pennsylvania potholes and ran great when plugged in following the grand adventure.

A Miata with a trailer hitch??

Never seen that before....those squirrels must have been tired after that trip. :D

I didn't have many days off back then so I had to plan out my trips so I didn't miss work. Left home on Saturday night with a uhaul trailer and drove straight to Monroe NY with a co-worker. Picked up a gen 1 Capcom big blue cabinet, next went to Middletown NY and picked up 2 more big blues. From there I drove down to Salisbury MD and picked up a Dedicated captain commando in a big blue. Came back Monday morning around 2-4am haven't slept for almost 2 days (the kid didn't have a driver's license). Later that day, we moved them to a storage unit and my body was not happy about it.
