I picked up this CT sit down last week and though not in terrible condition I can't help myself from stripping it down and making it perfect. I have done full restorations to a half dozen pinball machines but this is my first shot at an arcade so I welcome any help or pointers - and will in fact ask for some help below.
I have a bodyshop so have access to good cleaners, repair products, paint, booth, etc so that part will be fairly easy.
I am admittedly
very green when it comes to arcades so I had some questions but am not sure where to post them so I'll include them here and hope for some help. Please chime in if you have any info!
- Added games - Is there such thing as an "emulator" for this game that will allow it to have multiple driving games on it?
- More BASS - I think the stand up CT's had a big sub in them and I remember the sound being pretty good - can that be easily added to this? Certainly seems to be enough room in the lower cabinet

The fan on this thing was really LOUD - I'm not sure which fan it was making all the noise but the Naomi case has all its vent holes packed with junk so could be in there but it's likely the big one in the back. Maybe this was just how they were, not a problem in a loud arcade but I'd like to try to get that as quiet as possible for my fairly quiet home arcade. Any options for quieter fans? Thank you @Valsimot - ordered NF-F12 industrialPPC-2000 and a 110 to 12v transformer

Casters & levelers/feet - Is there a good outlet that sells replacements for these kinds of things? These could all use replacements.
Purchased industrial casters and levelers which raise the height of the machine by about 1" but will make moving it around the game room much easier.
- 3 yellow lights up top - This thing looks like it never had the lights mounted up above the monitor. I'd like to get those installed on this one. There were some unused plugs on the harness and I'd assume that one of them would have been used to power these lights.
- Anything else I should be doing while it's completely apart?? I want your opinion as I'm too new to this genre to have many of my own yet!
Just cleaned and repainted all surfaces. Took the Naomi apart and cleaned out the gunk. Found a NOS steering wheel and seat speakers and replaced those too.
I am taking the monitor to a repair shop to rejuvenate the tube and have a general look over. The tech said if it's a tan board on the tube (it is) then it's probably good - those usually don't ever need the caps replaced. I did manage to do some damage to the little adjustment board (pictured). Hoping that can be fixed...
I could not find any of the large side decals for the monitor stand so I will be using the kit graciously posted by
@RetroGamerJP in his
resto thread.
I will be posting updates as it comes along. My goal is to have it finished in time for our super bowl party ...but that's unlikely
