I remember something similar a few years back on RGVAC with the Q*bert Mello Yello ROMs.

When I found the 7-Eleven Q*bert code, we released it without any drama. Of course nobody seems to remember it now so maybe I should have gotten Geraldo Rivera involved.

I remember the drama - it was a big deal then. I think if CO was released it' would be pretty similar. Lots of initial hoopla, then.....nothing.

Crazy Otto was an proposed "enhancement kit" to Pac Man. It was never released due to litigation/settlement. The developers of it were hired to create Ms. Pac Man.

People talk about "grails"... Crazy Otto is The Grail.

Thanks for the explanation. I just read that thread, it's kind of lame that Crazy Otto was not released. Seemed like a pretty neat game.

Anxious gamer geeks need other hobbies to occupy themselves so that all of their pent-up excitement doesn't go towards jumping the gun on announcing a ROM release.

I suggest women.

Maxim magazine recently had an in depth article about the development of crazy Otto and the how the guys from MIT formed their company.

If someone could find a link to that maxim article could you post it for me I'm on my iPhone in the car and can't find it.

Wow what a real let down. I know this plays exactly like Ms Pac, but I was excited to finally see this and possibly added it to a multi Pac kit. I'm sure it will be released but I'm sure it will be much later when the hype has gone.
