With rumors going around about the ROMS going public and I have nothing to do, I decided to work on a custom Otto marquee. Any feedback? What do you think of the letter placement (I made two styles)? Just throwing this out there.

Since there was no "original" artwork designed, I had nothing to work from so I just went with how the characters appear ingame.

Looks great!
I do have one piece on constructive criticism. Otto's knee's are bending forward like a flamingo.

Thanks for the compliments and suggestions!
Here's the file updated per suggestions. I made his legs straight as they are in the game (I couldn't get them to come out right otherwise :)).

What makes you say that the ROMs might be finally getting released? My understanding was that the man with the only copy was still getting royalties for Ms. Pacman but might jeopardize that by pissing off Namco because of releasing the ROMs, for which they still technically have the copyrights.

Now if they DO hopefully get released, is it just a simple ROM swap to convert a Ms. Pac board to it? Also you might want to shorten the feet a little to make the ankles look less like knees.

From an unknown source (I wasn't there to hear, heard this second hand. I have no proof) supposedly Steve Golson mentioned at CAX that the roms mat be released as well as many blogs, etc. had announcements that they would be released last year but that didn't happen.

Looks great, but the color scheme seems a little too Ms Pac.

Might I suggest you look at the art they made for their missile command mod for inspiration as to General's style?

Huh, I'll try editing the color scheme. As you can tell, it IS based off the Ms. Pac marquee.

I don't think I understand you. Ms. Pac-Man nor Crazy Otto have a title screen. The pink and yellow lines in the art were like maze pieces from the maze to me, and Ms. Pac and Otto both use the same pink first maze. When Crazy Otto was created, no thoughts went into him being female, despite the suggestive pink first maze.

I'll toy around with colors.

Looks pretty good. Mind sharing a higher res copy? I was going to have my wife print up some artwork soon and I could run one of the marquees off and put it on the wall.

I liked the Ms. Pac color scheme. I thought it fit the game history well.

I think you need to make the feet stationary. Looks kinda odd, I like the overall look and feel though.
I'll try that. The original sprite was what I was basing it off of.

Send me a PM.

Agreed. It makes sense.

Here are both color schemes with the straight legs as suggested. Any more feedback?
With the protruding legs removed, there was an ugly empty space so I filled it with the GenComp logo. Any insight on that?

Starting a CPO, not really feeling it yet. Any suggestions?

That CPO feels EXACTLY like the Ms Pac one.

Work from a vacuum or from one of your marquees. Maybe even move the stick off center.
