Im just starting to get comfortable asking you guys for help and asking for your guys opinion..im marveled at the wealth of knowledge on classic games on this site I been collecting games since 2k.. In 2002 I helped a church group in the inland empire area get some games going for their youth group. In return they hooked me up with a crazy kong in a generic cabinet.. Long gone is the cab and i been waiting to find a crazy Kong cab at a yard sale... Haha. Is this thing worth holding on to? What would you do with this classic bootleg.

If you like it then it's worth keeping. I'm sure it would fetch a few dollars but not a lot so unless you just want to pass it to another collector to have one less thing in storage then it's probably easier to keep it. Really comes down to your philosophy on collecting. Do you just keep the bare minimum you need or do you buy and store a lot of things for some day. Personally I'd rather have a DK than a crazy kong. I probably wouldn't make space for the game in my collection but if I didn't have a DK then I'd probably enjoy a crazy kong. Maybe get a nintendo cab and throw it in there until you find an actual crazy kong cab.

Thanks for the feedback.. I think the master plan is to find at least a marquee and then build a cab for it and have It next to the Dk.. For me half of the attraction of a bootleg is the funky cab and artwork that bootlegs usually possess.

Here's an interesting photo I found on ebay (searching for Congorilla)...a bunch of Congorilla cabs in storage. The caption on the back (which is shown in the auction) says "seized video games at the (can't read the name) warehouse"

Most are dedicated Congorilla cabs, a few others look like conversions.
