I picked up a Crazy Kong in a donkey kong cabinet. It has some pretty crazy graphics issues that I'm struggling with. The game seems to play despite the graphics issues. I'd sure appreciate anyone with suggestions to figure this out.

I've checked:
All Roms against RomIdent
video ram (swapped with known good)
Z80 processor (swapped with known good)
Power
reseat all Sockets

hey, I made some headway. the ribbon connector was making poor contact. I've resolved that, and it's better. Not yet good.

What exactly do I call this where the rows are all horizontally shifted left and right?

Thanks, I'll check those.

Noticed another symptom: the program eproms seem to be getting pretty warm. I don't think I've seen that on anything else before.

So, this Pinout was a little unique, and I couldn't seem to find it documented anywhere. So, I'm documenting it here in case anyone else ever has need.
Orca OVG-55A, OVG-50B boards
Crazy Kong, Congorilla

It appears to be similar but not identical to the OVG-50B(vid), OVG-13UA(cpu) boards documented here.
