@CharlieG texted me a photo of this earlier this week and i was excited to see it. You guys have covered it pretty well. Those stickers seemingly came with the boards after Nintendo put out the ad
@SNESNESCUBE64 posted. The history of Donkey Kong and Crazy Kong is fascinating stuff. Even going back to the multiple legal cases with Ikegami Tsushinki and then Universal Pictures. Some of the Ikegami Tsushinki stuff has never been translated from Japanese to English and i think there is a lot to mine if someone with time and good research skills wanted to do a book or film. The Universal stuff played into the role of KING KONG entering the public domain which is also fascinating and a long story.
All that said, If you know me you know i love me some Crazy Kong variants and collect cabarets. So this was right up my alley. I had never seen this cabinet before and its neat to see some other games in that form factor too. I hope you don't take it apart for another game, or swap that control panel. Its all part of the story of this game and should be preserved. Im glad someone on KLOV found it, even if it wasn't me. But if you need a good home for it.
also you should for sure post these photos and a link to this thread for posterity over here
