I have been trying to get a Crazy Kong working with my vector labs DK multi switcher for a while. I have the Vector labs multi switcher, jamma adapter and HudsonArcade's falcon to jamma adapter. When I fire it up the background is white instead of black. I have asked Vector labs about it and he does not know what could be doing it but offered to take a look at it and a board I have the works correctly with this setup but after watching Adam (from OneCircuit)'s video on the Japanese DK board he fixed recently I am wondering if its a mod I can make to the board to just invert the background color.

Anyone done this or looked at the schematic to see if its possible like with the DK board?

If you havnt seen the video its here.. Diag of the background color starts around 7min45sec in.

Any help would be appreciated.

Are all of the colors inverted or just the background?

It's just the background as far as i can tell.

Here is a video I shot while trying to troubleshoot it. When I lowered the voltage I could get the background to go black but everything was super dim, didnt really think about it being inverted until I saw Adams video.

I don't think that's a color prom issue. I had a similar problem getting nice, pure blacks on the TMNT board I have on my Vector-Labs Switcher. Based on the reading I did here, not all boards are consistent, particularly in the black level. Maybe that's driven by the voltage but I've been trying to adjust using the monitor (screen, sub-contrast, brightness) adjustments. I'm still not able to get the quality of black I get with a native Nintendo board.

Even the Nintendo boards are not all consistent. For example, Popeye runs noticeably darker than a Vs. boardset. My TMNT runs noticeably brighter than the Vs. boardset. I'm still doing some experimenting but it may be one of those things where you have to find a happy medium. The screen positioning has also not been consistent.

I don't even know if its possible but it would be cool if the adapter boards all had horizontal and vertical positioning pots, a contrast pot, a volume pot, and color pots. This way you could "normalize" your boardsets to avoid the situation where one or more games in the switcher doesn't match the others.
