Alright, homies gonna start a new thread as I deep dive straight into the shit. I have more or less gutted the cab, I only have the bottom control panel piece and the coin counter part left to remove. But I figured why not show some pics of this exciting, very fun and extremely healthy project.

The coin mech says it was from 07, and there was quarters and canadian currency jammed into the memory card slot, there was also dried gum in two places under the control panel (and one on the back of the cab). What else did I find in my deeper dive... well its so damn dirty. I decided to hose it down and that helped a bit, but I need to do it more thorough, and like where has it been the past decade? I feel like I'm going to contract some long lost disease from this thing. What was floating 'round bout 2010!??!

I'm 50/50 on whether or not to dremel the remaining screws (I have misplaced by drill bits, but I need to find them in order to get out the last screw holding the joystick on the control panel) or to continue cleaning.

I have ordered a replacement chassis to check out if the tube is still good, if it is I'll attempt to repair the chassis that came with it, and I'd rather do that then clean the cab. But on the bright side, I might not need to repaint it right away if I can clean out the grime and get the rust under control as much of it is in areas that aren't that visible.

So I have everything removed and just about cleaned out. I have a few screws that are falling apart on the bottom of the cab that I could leave, but would be terrible and thinking about them makes my soul tired.

However I had begun sanding some of the rust, and because I didn't want the mess I was also sanding away the paint as well (basically targeting rust areas and then spreading out). However I now realize that this was insanity and that I should just remove all the paint (I'll also remove the "hood" in order to do this, haven't yet)

Most threads talk about removing paint from wood cabs, anyone got any experience with metal?
