So I scored a nice upright working CC today! Had a Minty Cpo waiting for this day and well, having a tough time getting the sticks off.. It's original I think, black balls instead if white.. They won't screw off, tried in a vice.. There isn't a screw in the ball either as I've seen on some.. Have the manual and it shows the break down, but these balls aren't moving.. Heh

There is a pin in the shaft that I'll need to squeeze out, in there super tight..

Anyone have any tips on removal??

Thanks

I don't have any tips for you but i sure am jealous lol.Crazy Climber is my grail and over the last 12 years , when i have money i can't find one and when i find one i don't have money.I do have a working boardset just waiting on a cab.Congrats on a good find.

Thanks!

It's been on my list for years.. Pretty much finishes off my taito row:)
I don't pay attention to the market, but what do the taito upright versions usually go for? I think I got it for a decent price:)

I typically see URs go for $500-$900 when they're for sale, though I've definitely seen people ask for more than that.

I got my mini + an extra (broken) CC boardset for $500 about a week ago. I think I got lucky, too...but the seller was also a collector and I think he was just happy it went to a good home. Welcome to the climb...er, club. :D

Cool, seems like I did ok then.. I'll post pictures of the game once I get the cpo sorted out.. Also hope this game doesn't have the same weird sync as Stratovox, as I'd like to remove the old 4600 and install one of my new wells 19" monitors.. Been waiting for the right game to install it :)

16+ years of collecting and this is the first Crazy Climber that I had a chance to buy, glad I pulled the trigger..

I have some NOS white Taito ball tops I need to put on the site.
I just got these in from a recent buy out.

Congrats - I just got my wife to ok my first cab (Street Fighter), and the very next thing I said after arranging to buy one was "hmmmm, wonder how much a dedicated Crazy Climber would be, or how hard it would be to find one?".

Happy for you...but sad to hear they are so rare. I remember some cool Crazy Climber sit down machines as a kid growing up, anyone know hard those are to come by?

I don't know if you have a sign-up list for these yet, but please put me on it if you do. I want a couple. Thanks!
