Anyone see this before on taito boardset? Getting these lines as he moves. Also the lines will show up when someone drops something out of a window. Tried to reset all chips. Also cleaned with deoxit. Still same issue.

Anyone out there work on these boards? Game seems to play fine.

Man that would be awesome... The orginal ps was not working and just got a oem replacement or eBay. Thought about checking voltage and have not yet...

Worth a shot! Appreciate the feedback.

Hey question about the PS on these... Pulled the schmatics to have a look about running this with a switcher... Really would prefer not to hack the harness, so will try the adjustment first. Below is a pict that I found with the power supply... Few questions...

1: I find it odd that the tilt comes off the PS?
2: Do I need to worry about running the NOISE FILTER for the power to the supply if I use a switcher?

Well checked the voltages and they were low. But adjusting did not change the issue. Here is a picture of the lines... Anyone else think this to be a rom issue?

Several issues possible:

- ROM
- RAM
- Addressing
- Busdriver

Start with the ROMs. Read the Contents and compare against romident.

Thanks. Would need to buy a burner as I don't currently have one. Seeking someone that has the tools to have a look at it.

Left it on for about an HR and the problem gree a bit... Now has lines across the screen but still plays fine.

I am pulling for a ram problem either the chip is having problems or the data path connections have a problem. tap and bang on the board while it is very bad and see if it changes the screen any maybe flex the board a little could be bad solder joints

Can be a thermal Problem too.
Check for hot chips, and cool them down to see, if the failure disappears.
Use cooling spray, or if not at hand, put an ice cube into a plastic bag and cool the Chips. ;)

What happens when you reset the board? Does the graphics come back immediately?

No the board is fully on the vertical lines now... Thought perhaps the same thing, but after being off for awhile it does the same thing when you turn it on.

Gonna post another thread to see if anyone is interested in a repair. I sold most of my test equipment. And I really want to have all the games working before the holidays and parties...
