I started restoring my Crazy Climber and found the control panel to be hacked up - the original joysticks were missing and replaced with WICO sticks. I read the restoration link on Rothblog but really wasn't happy with the results.
After some research, I figured why not design a new panel that would fit the new Sanwa - JLF-TP-8YT in a more stable manner.
I found a local group that has CNC Router, so after desiging the new panel in CAMBAM (a CAD CAM program), I was able to use the machine over the weekend.
Attahced is a picutre of the prototype panel being routed, I have some final tweaking to do and a few more precise measurments for the joystick mounting, the final panel should be cut later this week.
I figured doing it via CNC was the better way to go in case anyone else wanted to replace their panel, once I finish everyting this week and it checks out - I'll offer the G-code to Dptwiz and see if he wants to make a run for anyone interested.
Thanks
Greg
