Went to CAX and came home with a Taito Crazy Climber which works but needs some cosmetic love. Ordered a new CPO and joysticks for it today. And I understand prOk is planning to do stencils for this style of Taito cab. I'm thrilled to have it though. I couldn't get enough of this game at the Seattle show. Thanks mrbill2084! It arrived home safely and is working fine still.
Also came back with an essentially NOS Universal cab to build a Mr. Do! out of. The story on this is it never finished going through the assembly line and has never had a game in it. It does have a few nicks but overall looks awesome, and how cool is it to have an NOS cab? I guess the only thing cooler would be a NIB game. Along with the cab itself came most if not all of the non-game specific parts. And I have a line on pretty much anything I need to complete the game thanks to a great fellow klov'er. This is my wife's favorite game so I'm thrilled that it will be such a special machine. Thanks p1899m for hooking me up and bringing it down to CAX for me!
Also brought back a Mappy for local friend Brick Top that PatBateman was selling (it was at CAX). I was happy to bring yet another Mappy back from CA (I have one of my own) and happy to help BT who is a really good guy. It seems that Portland has a corner on the Mappy market now - at least 4 Mappy's among collectors I know here.
