Finally got my Exidy Crash working... I am in the process of restoring this game.
This one has been a pain in my butt - but finally it works!

Never heard of the game.

But, by your opinion, is it fun to play?

Isn;t that basicly the same as Dodge Em on Atari 2600? I know Dodge Em came oyt later so it would be the copy of Crash.

I refinished the cabinet - still need to do the control panel... the wiring is actually pretty simple but these black and white games are so touchy.... I had to mix and match parts from different boards to get this one working. Also I had to have the monitor rebuilt (it was original but dead).

The game is fun (kind of like breakout fun) its fun for a game every once in a great while :)

I also have a Sega Gremlin Head On which is exactly the same game.

I have a Head On but I blew the power supply a few weeks ago so I haven't been able to play it in a while. I actually repaired the power supply yesterday and plan to have it up and running again by the end of the week, if I can find time.

ArcRevival and I pulled what I think is a bootleg of that (called Smash) out of a barn/shed. If I remember correctly, it was in an Exidy cab. Unfortunately, the cab was completely water logged and destroyed.

Congrats on getting it running. I had one years ago, picked it up because it was Exidy and I'd never heard of it. It would work for awhile then lockup, but that was ok because by the time it locked up, I was done playing it. Don't remember who got it or where it went....

Have fun!
Tom

good feeling, ain't it? fixing broken crap is good for the soul.

speaking of dodge 'em / head-on / crash ....

check out the 1987 Konami update some time:

It adds updated graphics, some levels that scroll, clever maze designs
and single-use weapons to evade the enemy.

Gunna have to check that out! I play CRASH from time to time on my Arcadeshop Multi... the game is MUCH harder than it looks.

I am planning to redo the control panel - I will definitely post some before and after pics of this machine once I get that done

fast lane is a ton of fun, me and a friend spent a few hours over a couple days seeing how high we could drive up the score...

Yeah, I play it on the Aracadeshop board too. It's a hard game. I don't remember seeing the Exidy logo like in the screen shot above. I'll have to go back and check that out.

To the OP, nice looking cab. Never saw one before. Love the bezel.
