Nice! Now you need to get Matt's multi/hs save kit. I really love my Assault, even though it's not really in the "era" of games that I prefer. How's the sideart?

No side art on this one but it may have been painted over. Hmmm. Have to check. Tell me about the multi. This wasn't a game i played either as I wasn't going to the arcades much in the late 80s. I actually just played for the first time about a year ago at an arcade party. It is a very sweet game.

Awesome pickup! I'm really jealous....Assault was one of my favorite games from the "post Golden Age".

There was an arcade in the Pearlridge Mall in Pearl City, Hawaii(Oahu) when I was stationed there in the Navy. I played the hell out of that game. I need to find one for my arcade.

Congrats!!

Nice score Mike! Assault is an underrated one of a kind game. Definitely ahead of its time. Matt's kit is a must and Takeman has fabricated brand new powdercoated metal control panels. I'm hoping to have the CPOs underway before summer begins :)

Hey Tom,

I've been looking for one of these since playing yours at your party :). Finally found one.

I bet Phet was disappointed upon opening this thread.
Any thread with Ass in the title really gets his blood pumping.
I hope he doesn't take it out on his houseboy Armando.

Seriously - get the Multi-H/S kit! If you do nothing but play Assault Plus with it, you'll be happy. If you want to do the game switch, Matt even has a guide to doing it up on his web site. I personally haven't done the harness mods yet, because I'm having too much fun just playing Assault Plus - I don't even care about regular Assault right now.

If you want a new CP, find Takeman's thread ASAP - I know he only made a few more than were pre-ordered, so you'll need to get on that fast if you want one.

wow, just found this thread....

congrats mike on the assault pickup. love this game, love the whole "multi level" feel of the game and those og joysticks look to be in nice condition.

Congrats on the Assault!

I've been looking for one as well for a little while now.

Where did you end up finding this one? It looks like it's in great condition!

Love my Assault too. I hope the side art will be available someday :)
Pretty High-tech game for 1988, and not many were made. Great pickup!

Happy to see more assault's being played. I will say that my assault (in sweet condition) was the best $75 I have ever paid for a game.
