Just ranting. Our local cl since Christmas has been 2 guys fighting over who's suckass multicades are better, and a $50 DJ Boy that looks like someone diarrhea'd all over it.

Sounds like Detroit Craigslist. You would think people would have better stuff to do with their time.

$800 doesn't sound way out of line for a multicade-I guess it depends on how it's put together.

A few local guys here are always putting theirs up on CL, but it doesn't bother me. It at least puts the higher perceived value out there and when I go to build a good one or any of my games, it could keep my values a bit higher.

but yeah I feel ya, it sucks when no decent original games are up.

It's not the price of the multicade. It's the fact that somehow he lists it about 8 times a pop. You know, by slightly changing the title so you have to pass by the ad 8 times before you can see what you are really looking for.

yeah I admit I hate that shit

I tend to run into people with no ethics. For example, a guy sets up a time for me to come and buy a cabinet (10:00am), then sells it before 10:00am after not responding to my 9:30am text asking if we were still on for today. Some people.

Minneapolis Craigslist sucks, not for Arcade games (Even though there's a ton of people trying to unload Golden Tee, NBA Jam or a Mame/8 million games in 1 machines), but when it comes to buy/sell Nintendo video game consoles.

Other than promoting the arcade (Rusty Quarters), we buy/sell Nintendo (NES, SNES, and N64 and old school gameboy) consoles and games. Also offer repairs. 9 times out of 10 I place a Craigslist ad for buy/sell/repair, it gets flagged... why? because there is already so many Amateur MN people that buy/sell/repair Nintendo (Buy cheap, fix, resale for outlandish ebay prices) for their only source of income that I get flagged, since I'm assuming that I'm cutting into their action.

For the record, we only post on Craigslist once a week, usually on the weekends to drum up business.

Ironically, half of my NES repairs are from customers that got scammed by these amateurs (usually by repairs), usually with parts missing inside.

It's to the point that I have to list my store ads as a individual offering a service, not a store/arcade. And when those get flagged, I have to keep on rewording the ad untill it is left alone.
