Craigslist search words?

I KNOW!!!. I don't live there now, but my family is in Buffal so I search there occasionally knowing my brother can store something at his place until I make the trip home.

What's annoying is living near Arcade, NY. Lots of false positives

And you can't stop the jackwads that put a gazillion words in white at the bottom so their post shows up for a ton of search items. Check one of the ticket sales posts that comes up when you search "arcade". Highlite the bottom area and watch all the words appear. SOOOOOOOOOOOOO annoying!!!!!!!!!!

My standard CL search string is similar to modessitt's, but a little less developed:

arcade -tickets -xbox -xbox360 -fisher -leapster -psp -tabletop -nes -snes -handheld -wii -ps2 -ps3 -coupons

I make myself a custom URL to automatically search like this:
http://jacksonville.craigslist.org/...+-nes+-snes+-handheld+-wii+-ps2+-ps3+-coupons

Then it's just click & peruse.

I used to just put in "arcade" until the band Arcade Fire toured, then it was 55 listings for tickets with one game sandwiched in between. Now I do the whole arcade -wii -ps3 -tickets, etc. thing that others have described. Works like a charm.

I just use "arcade" and look thru them. Some of my best deals are probably ones that were passed by others because of certain "keywords".

example: someone post a classic arcade game, and a redemption machine in same post.....will probably contain the word "tickets"

also alot of people just list keywords at the end to get more hits, and xbox360 and PS3 are common ones.

Then you have people that will trade for things such as PS3, Wii, ect.
