Too bad it wasn't Excitebike instead of Superbike. Awesome find. I can't believe the converter left the original ROMs in the game. Hardly anybody ever does that. Very lucky. Some of those ROM swap kits might be awful games but converting back sure is nice. No reason to f*ck with the wiring, PS or monitor orientation if you don't have to install a different PCB. A lot of people just flipped the monitor bezel around in Nintendos, regardless of what game they were converting to. I don't know if I would go back to DK if it was me. I might go with DK3 or Jr. I guess I am still sore from DK kicking my butt, even though I haven't had mine for almost a year.

When I sold my DK, I was very frustrated with the infamous 3rd elevator stage. I did manage to clear it just before parting with the game but that is the reason I don't have it anymore. I got really tired of not being able to do it. That said, I would rather play DK Jr. or DK3. I was going to say, I would rather rotate the monitor and do a Mario Bros. kit but I didn't think anyone wanted to hear that.

Yeah, i think it will clean up pretty good. Maybe i can spot a few places on the kick panel good enough.
Probably just hang on to it for now.
I do like dk and need to get better at those 3rd level springs. I'm getting killed by them less and less now. I've already got Jr. and i've got a wide body mario, so DK it's gonna be.
Well, if you decide you want to get rid of it for a reasonable price I may be interested.

I saw that machine listed and thought about posting it here. Congrats on the pickup. What do you think of superbike? It should still have the original sanyo in it though. Let me know if you need the swap instructions, I have them scanned.
