Just picked up a working punch-out in nice shape and thought I would share. I was planning on making a quick buck on this but when I saw it in person I instantly wanted keep it for myself. Opened it up and it has all original with no hacked wires. Monitors need to be recapped and some minor body work done where someone slopped something together. All in all it was a solid pickup. I got it for $273.25 ($275.00 - the $1.75 in the bottom of the cab) and the guy was super cool and threw in 2 new cap kits to boot!

Thanks man, I figure if I keep it, fix it up here and there it could be a really nice piece. I will always be able to get my money back so why not enjoy it and make it look brand new.

Not quite. The original Nintendo PP-1000A power supply has been replaced with a standard "switcher" power supply, which means they most likely cut off the original 3 Molex-style connectors that go into the original power supply, and crimped spade connectors to the wires to connect them to the screw terminals of the switcher.

Great game though, my second-favorite of all time (second only to Super Punch-Out).

If the Punch Out / Super Punch Out multi was to ever see the light of day I'd have a spare to sell...

Nice pickup. Great price...

Good to know, thanks for the info. You wouldn't happen to have a spare?

I don't. The only one I have is in my SPO cabinet.

There's nothing wrong with having a standard switcher in there (aside from the authenticity factor, if that matters to you). The original Nintendo PP-1000A power supply is also a switcher, just a proprietary one. Your coin counter won't work with that standard switcher in there though, because it doesn't have a +24 VDC output (I don't know if there is a way to obtain +24 VDC from it or not). Most home users of arcade machines don't care about a coin counter anyway.

Very nice deal. I see you talked him down $100. I can't understand why it took so long to sell. You made out good. Congrats

Just scored my arm wrestling pcb,cp, and marquee to go along with my spo cab, and my po pcb. Now I just gotta figure out some sort of 3 in 1 wiring.
