Craigslist pinball for a buck, $1

I think you guys are missing the point of the OP...

I sent him an email offering $2... wonder if he'll turn it into an auction now?

Are you required to put a price in the title when you create a "for sale" listing on Craigslist? If so I can understand people putting $1 in the title when they either have a bunch of parts for something (like a car they are parting out) or simply want offers. If putting a price in the title is not a requirement, then the $1 thing is stupid (unless they are really asking $1 for something).

I don't think so I've seen posts w/o a $$$ posted...
I think it's just a cheap way of drawing attention to their post... Somehow I doubt they would have success though, as most people I would guess would be pissed when they click on the ad only to find that they don't actually want a buck for that beat up Ms Pac, missing logic board and monitor, but rather they're asking some ungodly amount, like $85,000

Meh for fun I used to get drunk and call all the craigslist ads that had $1. listed as the price and a phone number. I would call them up and act all happy when they said they still have it(whatever it was). I would then tell them I have the dollar ready where should I pick it up.
Had some great conversations with people, they later it got the more fun it was.

ahhhhhh the memories of youth. :D
And by youth I mean my 30's

redwolf is right, i read the whole listing, so i know the guy wants offers, but technically, he is offer the items for 1 dollar, and then doing a bait and switch type sale, which is actually iillegal in many states.
So i was being a smartass when i said that i havent gotten a response

people post the ad with $1 in the main title (usually listed in the area in between the location and title) becuase it shows up on a monetary amount search. That is, if some one types in "arcade" in search with a maximum of $300, it will still show up.

Still ought to be illegal to see VIDEOGAME!!!! 1$!

Then you click through to see it's $2500.

Bad design, idiot sellers.:004_ssleepy:
