craigslist love

It is annoying when people offer you a ridiculous amount for something you treasure. I just laugh now, but when I was younger it kinda would piss me off when I would be drivin the 66 mustang convertible around town and was constantly asked if I was willing to sell it. Even after saying no, people somehow thought that there unsolicited "I'll give ya 5000 for it would somehow get a "sure, sounds fair" response from me.

But if you love/treasure it so much.. then why would ya be tring to sell it ;)
teehee

Yeah, i think it gets old when people lo-ball... Again, i dont make offers on machines i haven't seen in person. because i can then give them a list of reasons why it's not worth their asking price if i feel it's truly not worth the asking price. i.e. if it has issues and needs to be worked on. If explained well to the seller it typically makes sense why it's not worth their asking price. i"m not saying screw them over and get it for as little as possible...

I'm sure some people are asking rediculous prices on things because they know someone it's going to low-ball them. so if it's worth 1k., ask 2k expecting someone will offer you 1/2 that and you might actually sell. lol

i dont know the mentality of people to sell things... but it's craigslist, and i think people
should consider relaxing about how much someone is asking for something. it's a free service so they will post as many times as they need to get it sold and ask as much as they want because it isn't costing them anything to do so. If they were paying for the ad in a paper they might think otherwise.
