Craigs flag?

the guy is offering his services in trade?i dont see why anyone would flag him. so what if he is posting alot. in tough times bartering is a good way to go. i say leave him be.

I see it all the time too but i just skip right over it. The ones that drive me nuts lately is when you see the furniture store trying to put up advertising on CL and are apparently using the word arcade as a tag somewhere in the post. There have been a few car dealerships that do it too. Those drive me nuts cause there is no way to filter them out.

Can't you just filter -"car dealership's name" and whatnot?

When Arcade Fire was coming around here, had to filter -tickets. That took care of most of it.

What I can't stand are the ones that put like a thousand different words at the bottom to trigger every possible search, and they make the text invisible to hide it. Is that really fooling anyone?

Yeah... what's wrong with the guy posting his services offered ad every 3 days? Perhaps part of the time he's re-posting because he's been flagged?

No it's not. Craig's allows you to refresh your ads every 72 hours or so. He's following the rules. You, apparently, are not.

If he was worth a shit then he wouldn't need to barter...

We have a jackass here in Dallas that posts over and over about trading tile work but you have to "pick him up because i have no truck"

Funny thing... if you Google the phone # in the ad it links to a truck that's for sale.

I flag all that barter shit. It should go in a services section and not in barter. All it is... is a bunch of sub-standard jack-offs that are trying to drum up business by spamming. If they were *that* good they would be busy by word of mouth.

We get them in Dallas on a daily basis. Will trade (crappy prison-style) tattoos, massages (sex), house cleaning (including your valuables!), tile work, plumbing, electrical work, handyman, etc... Will trade for like-massage, guns, bang-bangs, man toys, hunting toys, boats, cars, jet skis, trucks, cars, motorcycles, etc...

Yeah, right. And I'm sure you have plenty of references (friends/relatives/girl or boy friends/fake email accounts) with plent of pictures (freshly harvested off the internet) to show off your "abilities"...

Sounds like he's looking to barter his services for items. As far as I know there isn't another barter category so I'm not sure what you want him to do.

If nobody ever responds to his ads he will more than likely give up.

Take a breath and relax, there are plenty of other more deserving jerks on CL to occupy your time (IMHO)

And as has been mentioned if he's a chronic CL poster by flagging him all you do is let him re-post even quicker than 72 hours for more frequent top posting.

It's spam/over posting.

No he's not - you can refresh your ad every 48 or 72 hours (whatever the new policy is.)

Make a better search query or just ignore his ad. Sounds like the issue is a personal dislike and nothing to do with Craigslist.

The guy is just tryin to make some money or trade his services for goods, times are tuff leave the guy alone. This is america if you haven't forgot that.
