Crack in wood supporting monitor! What should I do (before Home Depot closes!)

You are making this about 5x harder than it actually is. Disconnect the monitor, remove a couple of bolts, pull it out. That will take about 5 minutes. Now glue, clamp, install a support cleat. 10 minutes. Allow to dry, reinstall monitor.

The wood strut is shattered from end to end (cracks throughout). It's holding, but it's tenuous. I think it has be re-made and re-installed.

I can drill holes, but I suck at woodworking otherwise.

Unless I'm missing something in the picture, that board is just split because someone tried to pound a nail in the end from outside the cabinet.

All furniture is made from glued up pieces of wood. Put glue in the cracks and clamp it up tight. Put some cleats underneath to transfer weight to the cabinet.

Get in there and get your hands dirty. If arcade games are going to be your hobby, you're going to see alot worse than this...

Ah, sorry I don't own any cabarets. As a general rule of thumb I try to stick to OEM as much as possible, but when they do crap like this, it just makes it hard. In this situation I'd consider pine blocking, but like I say, I don't have one so it's hard to picture to circumstance.

Midway and Williams cabinets, among others, regardless of size, often had dados, slots, etc.. From what I've seen, Atari cabinets tend to be simple, with the blocking, butt joints, etc.

In the time you've taken to discuss this, you could have pulled the monitor, cut the old out, replaced it with new, and put the monitor back in.
