I've been having a terrible time with CR2032 batteries, which are used in many machines. I've tried a few different brands from Digikey and Mouser, and I can't seem to get more than 6-12 months out of any of them when used in PC motherboards or certain video games.

Looking at the reviews on Amazon, it seems like many people are getting bad ones from several brands there too. Does anyone have any recommendations for good, long lasting CR2032's?

Many of the boards I've worked on had KTS brand batteries from the factory, and they still had a decent charge several years later. I don't know if the chemistry is different or what.

I agree. I did a Dell PC swap on a Big Buck Hunter Pro and I know I replaced the battery. Like a year later the guy called me and said his machine stopped working. Went there and tested the battery as the settings were all messed up on the PC, yup dead battery.

My F&F Drift machine just did the same thing like a week ago, PC wouldn't power on. Settings were defaulted and BIOS battery dead. Probably same batch of batteries.

I've had really good luck with Duracell Multipacks from Sam's Club. I've had one from that pack in a machine for 2 years now… still working.

I bought some Sony ones on ebay several years ago and to be honest I've never had any problems with them. I wasn't even sure they're really sony but that's what they say. I don't even know if I've had one fail yet.

If you want reliability, we use VARTA and Renata cells in all our scuba diving computers, they last for a long time and hold a charge in stock for a long time also.

I have never had trouble with counterfeits / crap quality from battery junction and have bought hundreds, if not thousands of batteries from them over the years.
