Love projects like this. Can we get some tech details? I was recently dreaming of something like this for another boardset...

Does it read roms from sd card and copy onto flash memory?

That's right will read from SD into the flashes and you can run whatever you want. Even homebrews or infinite time versions for training, etc.

It will be placed on the top of a B Board like those SIMM PCBs that some CPS2 have. So you need an A and B Board.

This will not harm your existing CPS2 as it will just replace the ROMS.
When you are tired, you put the roms back and no CPS2 harm has been made. We care.

STV was $230 with one single PCB this will have everything ready to support an LCD and will have two boards, so expect a price of $300

I assume this will work with a suicided CPS2? Or do you need to have a live battery board?
Thanks

take my money, sir. I still have my cps2 18 in 1 Chinese hack board, still working fine. I would love to replace it with this.

Guessing it will work like the STV one where you power cycle the cabinet to swap games? Either way I think at that price I'd be in.

For the LCD I'd cable it so it could be moved.

If its a board that plugs in as basically a rom swap and uses a cps2 a+b board then where does support for a lcd come into play?

The board has a slot for a microSD. You can use the LCD to surf into the drive and choose which game to load into the PCB flash memories.

Ahh got ya. Misunderstood you. I thought you meant lcd support such as cga/vga selectable like on some multiboards.
