Well I tried my first conversion and had no luck. I have a 2nd MSH that was already Phoenixed so I figured I would try and do my first conversion. I burned all the roms for a Hyper Fighting Street Fighter 2 (had a G Pal chip from a parts board) and I get what you see in the pictures below. The sound is also distorted. What am I missing here? Is it the G pal chip, according to the website link below it should be a G. I used all recommended roms with the exception of m27c106 roms for spots 11-20 (not all used). Would these roms cause the problem? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Jumper setting are all correct. The only thing left I can see is the m27c160 roms I used which are 16 when its recommended to use m27c322 which is 32. I ordered the new roms and i'll give it a shot.

So I got the roms and the board booted up. Now I have a new problem.

Anytime I select a character from any cps1 version the character is missing from the screen. You can still play and actually attack the opponent but the character is missing ( the character is invisible). Additionally when the board boots, and it shows all the different versions, all the cps1 title screens are blank white screens. Essentially, I'm missing all graphics from the cps1 versions of the game. Anybody every see this before? I can post a video If necessary. I reburned all the roms and still the same thing.

This is gonna sound like a broken record, but check all of the jumpers with a multi meter...they may look connected/severed, but a lot of the times they aren't.

put up a picture of issue interested to see i got a faulty cps2 a board where all the players are just black and its not a b board issue or connections

When I have Marvel Super Heros roms on the board it works great. I have to check the jumpers again. Here is a video of the issue.

Ok i see the issue not like what i have on that faulty A board

First thing i would do like everyone else has said is triple check the jumper pads to make sure there set correctly Get a ohm meter and make sure the ones there were changed from being close to open are open, Just desoldering the pads 9 out of 10 doesn't make the open as they put a tiny small track between them.

Second thing have you tried running the roms your using in mame to make sure there 100% correct? I had once a set of roms i got that where no good which caused me all sorts of issues

Third those 27c322 are a pain in the butt when it comes to programming/erasing them. i found that you really need to give them a good 30 to 40 min erase before using them for some odd reason they say there "Blank" and program ok and even read back fine but have issues when under board conditions (running on a pcb). I just found that it was a erasing problem in the end and after i erased them for a long time i never had any issues programming these again

Hope this helps

Well I double checked the jumpers and the ones close are closed, while the open ones are open. Im hoping I have the correct settings. Can anyone confirm the setting for me. This is what I have:

SOOS SO OSOSOS SOSOSOSO SOSOSOSO

Checked the jumpers and there was one closed but even after fixed it still had the same issue. I burned Progear (same pal chip) and everything works great. Must be something with the files I have.

That's the funny thing is they all checked out. I'm going to save the roms I burned and wait for another dead board to come in and see if the problem follows the eproms.
