So I was changing batteries on my 11 CPS2 boards last night and noticed that 3 or 4 of them seem to have stickers over top of other stickers. The tamper seals are in tact and the ROM chips are marked with the current game. Did Capcom upgrade boards and then reapply new tamper seals. The games with a second label were Super Puzzle Fighter 2 over top of a SF Alpha and D&D Mystara over somethine?

I also noticed that every single battery I had was 3.74V so did I need to change the batteries?

Yeah, capcom did it a lot. Alpha and X-men were donors quite a bit. As far as the batteries. If you don't know the last time they were changed then changing them is a good idea. Then every 5 years should be fine. Some do three years. Some originals are still working and they can be up to 17 years old!!!

Yeah I've seen some recently that must have been originals. 15+ years.... scary thought!
It's just odd to me how some last and some fail I had one revived while I was at Capcom by the official tech and it only lasted 1 stinking year.... the year after I left and they shut down the division!!!!

Thanks Guys. The guy I was selling it to got some similar answers so we are good to go. I just didn't want to sell it if it was a bootleg or something.
