So I have this Night Warriors CPS2 board that had the battery removed years ago, it used to work flawlessly with a PIC but recently it just decided it wouldn't work anymore. Now when I turn it on all I get is a solid color screen, most of the times a green one but sometimes I get a nice blue screen. I did some research and people usually say it may be a suicided board but that's not my case since I had it working with the PIC for years. Some people say it could be ROMs 01 and 02 not properly attached, I tried removing them and carefully reinserting them but nothing changed. I did try it with another A board, nothing changed. I tried Razoola's test rom but it doesn't even boot it (also gives the green screen when the test rom is inserted).

I've also heard that shorting the EXCs and the capacitor near the spot where the battery used to be helps. I did that and the game worked...for 5 minutes, then green screen again. Now it doesn't work again even when I try to short the caps the same way I did before.

I'm really out of options here. Does anybody have any suggestions? I really like this game, it's the first CPS2 board I ever purchased so I really wish I could have it in working condition again :(
