I am in the planning stages of a D&D Tower of Doom / Shadow Over Mystara dedicated cabinet. I was looking at the Jamma switchers in order to have them in the same cab, but I am hearing some troubling things about those adapters. What are my options? I assume it won't be too hard to hook up some sort of switcher, but I really, really, don't want to see a "hard reboot" every time I switch games. I want a seemless handover of picture and sound. Meaning it would be like both games are always running, you are just hearing and seeing one at a time. Kind of like changing channels on TV.

What are my options?

Mike's arcade double Jamma adaptor has the exact character that you are looking for.

You shouldn't have any issues with this or any of the other jamma multi switchers out there. Do check your voltages though coming out of the switch - you may need to turn your power supply up a bit if the game is randomly crashing.

I think the D&D games are 3 buttons so you should be good. If not, you can always splice two kick harnesses together.

I looked at both products and they look like they will fit the bill perfectly. Question though: what is the difference between them? It looks like the MikesArcade part comes with an extender harness, but I'm trying to see the $85 difference in price. Add in the extender harness at JammaBoards and there's still a $60 difference. Is there a difference in quality or something? I want to make the right choice the first time around if possible.

Mike's Arcade > Jammaboards in terms of customer service and quality of product. At least that's what you'll hear from most guys here.

I didn't see the kick harness mentioned for sale at MikesArcade. Is there a part number that I could reference. I was looking at Kick Harness and it mentioned certain pinouts for the 3rd and 4th player used in the D&D games. I'm sure I can locate a wiring guide, but before that I was thinking someone may sell a pre-wired harness. Not sure, just wondering.

I have the Mike's Arcade Jamma switcher in my cabinet. It's absolutely PERFECT. I am running CPS2 Street Fighter Alpha 2 with Atari Tetris. The kick harness is no big deal with one CPS2 board, if you get a second it should be easy to splice it into the harness.
