CPS2 18-in-1 freezing and exception issues - voltage help

I just bought a capcom CPS2 18-in-1 board; it seemed to work well for a few days and then I started getting errors...freezes on xmen vs street fighter, exception errors on MvC and Gigawing (saying to report to cps2shock.com..???)

Is there any documentation out there to help me figure out whether I just have a bad board or if this is a voltage issue or something else entirely? I've been searching like crazy and I can't seem to find a thing...

Does anyone know the correct voltage for CPS2 / pins on JAMMA connector, tolerance, and whether or not that may be an issue? Any help would be appreciated. I know these boards are notoriously iffy; so I won't be surprised if that's not the issue - but it's worth checking out in my opinion.

I don't know about your 18-in-1, is it like the multi-CPS1 board where it's like a real CPS board but with a cartridge with the rom contents? either way, yours has to be hacked or something to not have encryption -- emulated maybe?

nonetheless, I typically adjust my switchers to where I get 5.10-5.15 at the JAMMA connector. only time I go higher is if I meter an IC and it's not pulling 5V -- usually happens if it's an interlocking setup or it's just a board that sucks a lot of juice.

another thing to try is reseating any components on your game board. you might have a loose cartridge or ROM or whatever. I'll have to google one of these, I won't sound like such an ignorant fool then. :)

try those though. real "captain obvious" stuff, I know, but it's a start.

EDIT: funny, I found you on the neo-geo boards asking the same thing. the setup sounds rough -- good luck to you. at that point I would've gone MAME.
