I tested out one of my 'A' boards today, which had been sitting for a couple months. I'm certain that the last time I played it, there was no issue. Now, the left RCA output is outputting muffled sound. I have tested multiple games, with multiple 'A' boards, and multiple RCA cable hooked in various configurations across all, and it is definitely the left RCA output. I have not checked if it happens with the game board set to mono output, sending audio via the JAMMA connector. Should I start there, or would stereo output via the RCA connectors be an isolated circuit?

Can anyone recommend particular things to check within the inner workings of the 'A' board?

Did you try to press and hold the volume down button on boot? Press and hold it while you boot the game and it will reset all sounds. You will have to turn the volume up after you release the button.

I just did. Didn't improve anything.

I bypassed the RCA outputs and Q-sound amp, to test audio via the JAMMA connector. No issue in sound imbalance across the speakers, when outputting through the JAMMA. In fact, I get audio via the JAMMA connector, whether it is set to MONO or STEREO.

I don't think I'm going to take it any further, since I know I can get good audio via the JAMMA connector, even if it is mono. I've got 3 'A' boards, and this one will be the backup to the backup.
