Just FYI in case someone else is interested. I'm now in a real pinch...was hoping these were not going to be out so soon.

Thanks for heads up. I'm ready! I banked the cash months ago and miraculously avoided blowing it when the delay occurred.
Let me be the first to throw out the "BS" flag. I may be wrong and it wouldn't be the first time, but Flash Gordon is due out before Pinbot. Who knows, it is not like you can get a straight answer out of them directly.
The last we heard from CPR was about a week or so ago. My wife asked Kevin about us being on the list for Flash Gordon and IIRC he said they are still 4-6 weeks out. Take that for what it is worth and add a dollar and you can buy a cup of coffee.
They posted in rec.games.pinball about it...

Hey Guys
Update, I finally received the last of the inserts and they are now
being glued it. They should be over at the screen shop on Monday for
final work prior to screening. Looks like we will have PFs in about 2
weeks. They'll still have to be cleared but they should be screened in
about two weeks.
Thanks
Mike

Figure 3-4 weeks to screen.. 3-4 weeks to clear.. I'm betting minimum 2-3 months.
I put my name on the list last week. I dont even own a pinbot yet but
I will at some point. Figured I cant pass up an opportunity to get a
repro playfield and plastics. I gotta buy that pinbot mini playfield plastic
soon. Thats something I wouldnt want to miss as well.
Mike
If anyone is waiting on Flash Gordon playfields, I can refer you to a shop that has an overlay on file for both the upper and lower playfield.
Mine turned out awesome and cost was minimal.
Have a set, and they are the BIGGEST piece of crap ever made. They are pretty and would make nice wall art, but they SUCK ASS on a playfield IMO.
Is your personal opinion that any overlay sucks? I'm serious.. I think they're usually a last resort, but there are a couple of games where repro playfields just won't happen (and aren't worth it), like Space Invaders. An overlay seems like the only realistic solution, if 1/4 of the playfield is bare wood.
I hate to say it, but a reproduction playfield for Pinbot is like a Starwars cockpit - I'd love to have one, but I just can't bring myself to spend that kind of money.
Plus, if I were going to replace the playfield, I'd have to strip and re-stencil the cabinet.....
Ug, I thought restoring video games was crazy expensive!
You have to be a realist and know up front that you will most likely never get your money back out of it if you had to sell it.
I wouldn't do it to a game I was not going to keep.
