Couple of problems with the K7000 in my Rockola Eyes

Hey Guys,

Picked up a Rockola Eyes this weekend and I installed a freshly rebuilt K7000 into it. Now I got the monitor adjusted and looking great before putting it into the machine, however I had to swap the frames out because the frame was difficult for the Rockola, and now I'm having three issues with my monitor.

The first I know how to fix, the image is WAY to big, so I need to get an width adjustment kit from bob . . . not a problem.

However I'm having the following two issues now that its in the machine.

First the colors are not right going across the machine.
Second the alignment is off in the bottom right corner of the monitor.

I've attached a screenshot. Before I switched frames and put this monitor in the machine, it looks fantastic, now its got the color problem and a slight convergence issue.

Any help would be fantastic.

Also this is a low/medium res K7000 if that helps!

Thanks

Ok dumb question . . . how do I degauss the monitor?

That's not a dumb question. There are degaussing coils that you can use to do the job. Bob Roberts sells them and even has a tutorial for their use, though using one is pretty straight forward.

Other substitutes that sometimes work for people are corded electric drills held sideways or reusing old degaussing coils from other monitors.

The monitor should run a short degauss cycle upon power up while cold. It is great for minor problems but not very effective for major problems. You should make sure you reconnected the tube degauss coil to the chassis (two position connector at the back of the chassis, near the filter cap) as a first step.

I'd link to the Bob tutorials but I can't access his site from this computer. It has also been described here a few times and I know there are YouTube vids as well.
