counter force gottlieb system 80, intermittant scoring

I have a gottlieb system 80 Counter Force that some times will score 1k points over andover randomly during game for a bit then quit. So far I have not been able to reproduce this malfunction in the switch test. As far as I can tell the pop bumper are the only way to receive 1k points each. There switches seem to not be adjusted to close buy any stretch of the imagination. Popbumper misfires are not accompnnying the scoring issues. Of course it did this a little bit yesterday then stopped!

Possible connections issuess to strobe/return lines? Possible bad diode for switch matrix wiring???
Ideas on what to check. It is an intermittant problem.

set the game in the switch test and hit the playfield with your fist in different places, see if the vibration somewhere sets it off so you can find what switch it is..

Thanks. I should have mentioned that bumping the playfiel with my fist r palm does not reproduce or seem to effect it at all while it is doing it.
Be that as it may, what would be the proper course to go through checking parts involved, connections for strobe and return, diodes for under playfiel switch matrix wiring, the few chips involved in strobe/return.

Would removing the connections for the switches, A1J6 while it is having the issue possibly point to the direction of the issue at all?
Thanks!
Toby

Removing the connector would tell you if the problem is on the board or playfield/wiring/ connector related
