Could someone local please help me with my Tempest?

I've troubleshot my Tempest as much as I can and I could really use some help from an actual human on site. if anyone is in proximity of zip code 21921 and would not mind helping me with my Tempest I would really appreciate it. I can pay if I need to I just want to be able to play it again. it is currently playing blind and I have rebuilt the HV cage and installed an LV2000.

Thank you.

Have you confirmed the logic board is working? Replace/test the chassis transistors too? I assume the spot killer is "on".
Hopefully someone local (with an oscilloscope) can help you out. :)

I'm pretty sure Tempest is the most broken game ever.
It's natural state is OFF.

Can't really help with this one, but as someone who went through rebuilding Tempest over the course of a year, best of luck! Getting a scope borrowed is a good step to figuring out what's going on.

I'm in Baltimore, and I'm not the best guy on monitors, but I might be able to help. Did you re-cap the monitor?

Compare a working deflection PCB against the non working PCB with a multimeter. Look for the differences and consult the greg woodcock guide.

Andrewb helped me with my Tempest pcb. Class act all around. Lots of tips on here. Start with verifying your power. Power brick, arII, pcb, monitor. That order works well for me.

wonder if its the bit slice chips on the aux board.. I had a playing blind game, and they even showed physical damage so I changed them and that was it.

www.arcadechips.com sells them if they look damaged you are interested in trying that.

I am willing to help but not sure when I will be able to get up that way or how much help I can be. I have a working tempest board and a scope so we should be able to determine board or monitor.

If someone doesn't come through soonish for ya, give me a pm.

Thanks! I'm like 99% of the way there. Game was playing blind around Jul-Aug. My biggest concern is the frame transistors. I dont feel like I am testing them correctly and don't want to refry anything with the monitor.

I need to power it up again and find out if I'm still hearing game sounds.

I tried checking the transistors earlier this summer but did not feel like I was doing them right for some reason.

Still trying to get some local help if possible.

I confirmed last weekend that the game is in fact still playing blind.

Thank you.
