Does it have a coin door, or a picture of a coin door?

(Real or crap?)

I believe it has a coin door, like the Jurassic Park version last year. I've seen it in the warehouse recently though I didn't look that close given I don't have 5k to spare :0)

Next trip i'll post up if someone else doesn't before then.

Yes actual coin door looks like

Crazy they sell something for that much that's crap then.. I'm sure glad I haven't been bit by the pin-bug

I still don't own any pins, but I can hear the pinball world calling my name everyday.

However, I still find pinball prices to be utterly insane. The only prices I could stomach are slow and boring EM pins.

right there with ya, i have one pin only because i was super lucky and fell ass backwards into a great deal

i'm not a pinhead but i've heard from a couple that supposedly prices are falling but perhaps it's just for older used pins? retail prices for NIB still seem to be off the charts and from what it sounds like have no problem finding purchasers

FWIW looked it up at Costco's site and a couple quick youtube tours of the game

for the non-elitist, this seems a sensible purchase for anyone wanting to scratch the pin itch without going in on a commercial model. Stern is smart to make something suited to such a market. your average home player wouldn't even know the difference

give it a few years (if not already) and who knows, maybe a lucky KLOVer could grab a cheap used one on FB marketplace

This video says it all... except that if you've played commercial machines, you'll know the difference.
Not real sure what would cause someone to say otherwise.

Coin door is not operable (i.e. fake -like the Arcade Legends cabs).

Same with me. I enjoy pinball but could never justify that kind of money for a single game. Only because @jmac did me a solid in a game trade, was I able to get into them at all.

This is understandable. Prices are coming down, but they went bonkers in the upwards direction post pandemic so...not necessarily affordable. I only have room for 4, and have shuffled different titles in and out over the last few years and the best value "newer" pin I've found is Total Nuclear Annihilation. Theme wise, it is right up the alley of most of us on KLOV - it's "retro futuristic" if that makes sense. It's also modeled off of the early 80s Bally machines with one level. It is brutally hard, has incredible RGB light shows, and has a soundtrack that will bring the house down. The 4 player co-op is a party favorite, as everyone is huddled around the machine to get in on the action. Mine is bolted to my floor. Some pins are north of $15K, while this one can be had for $6K or so in today's market.
