I bought the Pinbits shaker kit but the instructions are for an AFM. The shaker circuit controller board is powered by a martian flasher and has 2 activating inputs. These inputs are connected to the Strobe and drop target bank on AFM which are both 12v circuits. (Did not realize this when I bought it.) I want to have it powered and activated by the LT1 Engine flasher which is 20v. The power part is fine but I am not sure what will happen if I wire the input to the flasher. Basically, I don't know what the max voltage is for the input circuits.

Has anyone installed this shaker kit in a Corvette or a game other than AFM? If so, which game and what did you wire it to?

Got in touch with the nice folks at Pinbits. Martin is at the Chicago Pinball Expo this weekend so go check out their booth.
It can use a 20v flasher as the input no problem. The issue now is the controller board's software is coded for AFM or STTNG depending on which kit you bought. So, while the shaker will work in my Corvette (or any other game) by plugging it into a flasher, switch etc.. we don't know how long it will shake. I will find out tonight after work and post my results.

It has two inputs. I wonder if one input is a short shake and the other a long shake. Only one way to find out. Zzzaaaapp!

I tried hooking the shaker up to several different positions and none of them work right. Part of the issue is the engine gets tested during startup so the shaker is running during the that whole sequence and it seems to interfere with the test. The engine can't sense the left and right limits well. The shaker also gets activated during attract mode for most connections. The AFM and STTNG kits are coded to not activate during the attract mode but since it is connected to Corvette, the software can't differentiate. If Pinbits ever makes software for the Corvette then I would consider it but until then, leave the mod alone.

I think the shaker feels best set up to rotate left-right as opposed to front-back. F to B shakes the backbox/glass too much and is too noisy.
It is also my opinion that the shaker should have a slower RPM for Corvette. It seems too fast and doesn't feel right. I am removing it. Oh well.
