Earlier today I was swapping out a game in my dual monitor PlayChoice-10. Before swapping the cart out, everything was working fine; now, though, I am getting corrupted graphics on the bottom screen. It happens immediately when a game is booted, regardless of the slot. The graphics on the top monitor are perfectly fine. I've already checked continuity on the main harness and didn't find any problems there. I have almost no experience repairing electronics, but I want to fix the problem. If anybody could provide some advice or get me started in the right direction, I would be very grateful. Thanks!

I have 3 or 4 cpu's with the same/similiar problem
they look like a nightmare to try and troubleshoot. all those capacitors and teeny tiny components I could never fix it myself even if I had an oscilliscope
I wish I had the solution for you
maybe the connector with the pins inside is the problem and a close inspection would reveal a problem but that abou all I got

good luck

I actually got it figured out earlier, much simpler than anything I had anticipated. The edge connector on the PCB had gotten knocked just a little loose. Visually it looked like it was securely connected, but I tried it on a whim and suddenly had a working picture. Not sure how it happened; those white fasteners keep everything held in place pretty firmly. You're right, troubleshooting that board would be a massive pain. I'm happy it ended up being something so easy.
