Corrosion is pretty awful. Slash and burn. Being careless will only come back to haunt you. It's much better to be overzealous and replace more bits than you need, than to do the reverse and miss one. I usually trace the circuit down and pull the adjacent "clean" parts next to any corroded ones, just to be sure I don't miss any.
