This will eventually be a thread about the restore I do on my Coor's Light Bowling, but for now, just showing my progress on vectorizing the side art.

I'm working from the graphic that was on the other side of the cabinet, it was already torn up a bit so I used a heat gun and removed it, scanned it, and now I'm working on it in Inkscape. Never used it before, but it's pretty easy to pick up. I'm pretty happy with the results so far, though doing the can is going to be a challenge.

I know it may not be a true "resto" since it's in a universal cab and was a kit game, but I dig the game and wanna shine it up. Here's a before pic, just for starters:

Looks great to me. I'd really like to try my hand at redrawing arcade art sometime; looks time consuming but rewarding.

When I had mine, I made custom side art. It wasn't until much later that I even heard about the dedicated side art for the Coors Light roms. I never found any in 6 years of looking.

I saw that when I was searching to see if maybe there was already a high quality version of the side art, but I wasn't sure if you created it or not. Looks like someone has taken your file and is selling posters of it on amazon:

It's really unfortunate too, because while I'd like to share my graphics when I'm done with them, I'm not OK with other's taking the work I did vectorizing it and making money off it. :(

I have not sold one of those poster yet :(, and I always hook Phet up when I sell stuff from his files.

I just got this game the other day. It was an original Mister Viking converted to Coors Light Bowling. It needs a little cleaning, but in overall excellent shape.

so haven't done any more work on vectoring the side art, but I did pick up a set of NOS sideart from eldorado games. Scanned it in at 600 DPI last night, maybe having a better quality scan will encourage me to work on it a bit more.

would be great to find a NOS decal that went on the trackball mounting plate!

Another poor poor Journey cab... I would love to just get my hands on a cab...
