Ok, now that the wrappings are off and the returns have been returned, whadja get, huh, whadja get??? :poke:

The coolest toy I got turned out to be one of the most useless. Its the Electric Shock Ball. An update to hot potato it's a small rubber ball studded with electrodes and at random intervals it emits a high voltage shock to anyone holding it.

I'm still not sure what to do with it, but I am thinking of some devious things.....:D

This was the most unexpected gift for me this year.

GIMONOPOLY-00001-00025_large.jpg

The soon to be mother in law bought it for me. Sure better than the usual random gift cards.

The DeWalt orbital sander was my top gift:

Until I find this, which wifey promised but couldn't find- the Philips Senseo coffee maker:

Best $10 spent on my gameroom

Got these for $10 at Lowes, they are in the holiday section (normally $20, on sale 50% off).

Three remote grounded outlets with a single remote key fob with a button for each of the three outlets. I think the package said each could handle 8 amps, enough for 3-4 typical games.

I'd shown my wife these a few weeks ago and she got me two packs, which combined with the power strips I had been using, were plenty for over a dozen games. Easy power up, no more reaching around, bending over, or getting on my knees to turn on games. Have fun with the quote hacking. I will probably buy a couple more packs if they still have them, these would be handy for a lot of other things too.

Step 1: Break into ball
Step 2: find main capacitor and resistor
Step 3: replace with larger cap and smaller resistor
Step 4:
Step 5: Profit

Hands-down best toy this year was the pair of namco kick harnesses I bought from djdns showing up today. If I can find the energy I'll have Soul Edge in the fighter cab with all it's buttons tonight. :)

That is sheer poetry. I was just going to take it to work and make anybody who wanted to ask stupid questions hold it. They can ask as many questions as they want as long as they can stand to hold the ball. <very evil grin>.

I ended up getting a Buzzbee Toys Tommy 20 (tommy gun style nerf gun), fully auto, shoots 20 darts in a few seconds.. My friend also got one. At the christmas party it was all out war. Today I bought another one and a double barreled shotgun. Many other people bought more guns and darts. New Years party at the same house, its gonna be intense

I mostly got clothes, but it was a nice surprise to get this arcade related shirt:

Define "Toy"?

Does my MT830A video pattern monitor tester count as a "Toy"? or do I have to go with the "New" Super Mario Bros - WII game that my daughter and I will be playing as soon as she can find some time for old Dad?

Toys can be anything that you play with or that you get fun and/or enjoyment out of. So in the right context, even a t-shirt can be a toy. So I would say the pattern generator and the WII game qualify as toys, since you will be playing with them, but your daughter is not (and she is not from this Christmas anyway ;)).

This shirt is hilarious! I love it.
