Cool "New" arcade opened up....

Talk about close quarters with the games. I don't like being that close to the dude playing the next game over. I would fear for my wallet with people that close by. Sh*tload of games though. They sure had the PC10 volume cranked up. No way would I put incomplete games out on the arcade floor like that. They would have to be back in the shop where idiots couldn't damage them or hurt themselves. Running a game with no marquee is an invitation for some moron to shock himself and sue you. I can understand broken games, cause things break but you don't leave an incomplete game out there. Just looks awful. Place was hella busy, though.

Man they really need to turn the volume down on that Mario brothers and turn the volume up on all the other games. And man looks like they had more games out of Order than working.

They had a walkthrough of the arcade a few weeks ago when they were scrambling to get games in and lined up and fixing them. I give them credit for opening when they said they were going to even though they did still have a ton of games out of order. They even created their own fighting games http://www.gallopingghostproductions.com/main.html but I don't think they had the prototype out for the opening either. I wish them success with all their projects.

The video doesnt show that half the games were not working. And the ones that were had some monitors in them that were washed out of missing colors. I was unimpressed when I 1st walked in. $15 To get in and most of the games I wanted to play were not working or missing monitors etc. I dont think I played $15 worth of games either. I hope they fix both probelms soon. On a side note, was cool to walk into an arcade again and see a lot of people and games.

That's great that they're open and it looks like it could be a lot of fun, but it looks like literally half their games are broken or incomplete! That's just ridiculous, they should have walled off an area and put the unplayable games behind it.

Very cool! It seems to be a very large room. I can't understand why the hell all those broken games are on the floor, makes the place look bad. They should have fixed them off-site and first. Very ambitious, though! I wish I still lived in Illinois, I would have been there for sure!

Their live action Mortal Kombat type game is hilarious! :)

Wish someone would open an Arcade out here. Northern Virginia has bupkus. Unless you've the $ and space to put a cab of your own. :p

If I had the $ and the time (and yea, the savings to fall back on if it failed) I'd have a feasibility study done on an old fashioned arcade in my area.

*sigh*

Ah, well.

If they did a Live Action of Street Fighter, that'd get a lot more interest. :p

Ya they did pretty bad.. lol Reminds me of that arcade game show that dan and the lady that plays sonya went on. They knew no moves really. It's on youtube somewhere. By the way if there was an arcade that was nice in PA I would go all the time really. buuuut arcades just don't make money around here anymore. Wish I could move to Chicago.. lol

They do have a bunch of games, that's pretty impressive.

They're screwed on those broken games though... they'll never get caught up. They're going to have to fix the ones that break, that are already working... PLUS all those broken ones. They'll never get on top of it.

i wish good luck with their arcade, but they could at at least fixed those missing marquees, just order repros online for gods sake. And whats with all the machines with missing monitors?!

120+ vintage arcade games is still a helluvalot. They just opened too, so I'd give 'em a break. I'll check 'em out pretty soon.

Thanks for sharing. That looks like a cool place. I wish them the best of luck. Is it in a shopping center or mall?
