I bought this old tube radio at a garage sale for $5. Its an RCA Radiola III regenerative tube radio, introduced in 1924. Its missing the tubes that stick out of that oval hole on the face. I wonder if it would work if I had those....
Anyway, its a cool addition to the weirdness of my emergency booth. The cord is frayed on the end, making this weird looking device "out of order". I just wiped the first layer of dust off and left the rest of the dirt and rust. Fits in better that way.
I just whipped up a simple mounting bracket so I can slide the radio in and out without damaging it. The box is mahogany, and the face is bakelite. I'll remove it easily when I finish the booth backdrop(flyers).
