Converting Rock-Ola Jukebox coin mech to take tokens?

Anyone have experience in converting a Jukebox coin mech to take tokens? Can you send me to the right place?

if your coin acceptor uses a cradle to pass the coin threw, you should be able to replace the cradle with the size of the token you are using to get it to work (.984, .900 etc.)

I'm not sure what you mean by cradle. It looks to have a standard coin mechanism, the same kind that you would find in an arcade machine only larger.

Is it the same little swing arm you see in on those mechs? Like this:

So I suppose I could take that cradle from a .900 and replace that quarter cradle with that mechanism?

I've checked out the plastic coin mechs and they are not adjustable to take tokens. Everything is solid and not adjustable.

If it's a standard coin mech from a vid, look for the metal ones (like Coin Controls). The vast majority of them can be adjusted to take tokens.

If you do take that apart and replace it with some parts, just keep in mind that you can ONLY go smaller with the token. The internal chutes are standard quarter size and will not let a .984 token pass through. Same with the exit slot at the bottom.

It should work out good then as my tokens are .900. I've got a couple of spare .900 coin mechs around so I will steal a cradle from one of those and see if it fits that shaft. Hopefully it will. Otherwise, I did order another Rock-ola mech so I won't damage the working one if I decide to adjust it rather than simple replace the cradle.

I found a spare cradle that fit the bill for the coin mech. I did have to modify the arm a little to make the token drop properly but it works like a champ. Thanks for the advice.

If its for your home, you could use the AnyCoin mech at arcadeplastics.com. I'm not familiar with jukeboxes, but if it fits standard size coin mechs, these should fit.
