Hey guys, a while back i bought an mkii that i want to run mkIII Ultimate on.
I got a nice control panel from a member here that was a II with the run button already added so i don't have to hack my original.

In time i will add a splitter and run both, but that's a project for another day.

I took out the MKII board, installed the new one with only the harness plugs that fit properly and MKIIIU seems to run fine but on start up the diagnostic test says error and it can't retrieve original info or something like that.
The lower board appears to be not connected at all, i'm guessing over time they integrated both into one?

While it does say error, seems to work fine to me.
Is there something i did wrong?

Next question, is the new control panel setup going to be plug and play? I have the entire thing wood and all and it's wired already.

I know it's not brain surgery, but i went into the board swap blindy for no reason considering the wealth of info available here.
So i figured i'd just ask this time.
Thanks,
Joe

Sounds like your error could be a "CMOS" error meaning the battery on the board that saves settings needs to be replaced.

Yup that's it, checked today.
I'll pull the battery out and get a new one.

Sorry for the vague description originally.
I'll get some pics of the inside of the cab tomorrow.
