Converting a Ms Pac-Man board to eliminate aux board

I've got a Ms Pac Man board that is having some ribbon cable issues between the main and the aux board. I know there's a way to eliminate the aux board. Is there any documents on the procedure to follow to "upgrade" a Ms Pac PCB to eliminate the aux?

Any advice is appreciated.

Only way to do that is with bootleg roms and they won't play exactly as they should. Ribbon cables and sockets are cheap, though.

I'm following up on this thread from a few months ago. I have an original Midway MFG Pac Man board that plays Ms Pacman. This is not a bootleg board.

It plays Ms Pac without the need for the ribbon cable and the aux PCB!

Is this simply bootleg Roms or is there another way of accomplishing this with other Ms Pac board-sets? Eliminating the Aux PCB and ribbon cable is desirable and I'd like to modify a few PCB's that I have.

Any thoughts?

I would look into lawnmowerman's site. If the info isn't there then most likely it cannot be done.

I have a working example. It's in the picture. It looks like it may have more EPROMs than a standard Ms Pac PCB.
