I have a Roadburners board set and wondering if I can convert it to a Sportstation board? I emailed one guy who says he converts Vegas boards and he told me Roadburners is not a Vegas Board set. It is clearly a Vegas board and listed as the latest fastest Vegas board (so in theory it is capable of running games from the earlier versions of Vegas). I question if he really knows what he is talking about. I've seen references in past threads that it can be done but nobody has said if they did it and what is required.
Is it a rom and hard drive swap? If so does anyone offer the roms and hard drive for sale to do it?
Thanks for any info.

He's right in a sense. You would need to replace the sound board (the part with the jamma edge) and the video card. The video card isn't so hard, but the Jamma edge piece will be. What you have is a dedicated durango set. What Sportstation needs is a quasi Vegas set..meaning it needs a vegas sound board but it can use either a durango or a vegas cpu board.

I probed system16 and this site, it appears the only Voodoo 3 games were the Rush 2049s, so the video cards should be the same.

the SSIO is different though. I got one years ago to replace my burned edge one from none other than Bill Burger and my Sportstation has run well ever since.

Sportstation sets crop up on ebay sometimes. that's where I got mine.
